This industry professional literally lives and breathes weddings all year round, and can offer expert insight into planning the biggest party of your lifetime. Organization Jedi
First things first – getting you organized. Creating timelines, to-do lists, and detailed itineraries for you, your fiancé and the host of vendors who make your day shine is the single most important aspect of the Wedding Planner’s role. They will transform your list of ideas into reality, and flawlessly execute each detail on time and on budget.

Expert Advice
If you’ve ever played a role in a friend or family member’s wedding, you know firsthand how much work and time goes into making the big day perfect. From selecting the venue and vendors, to planning the honeymoon, there are a mountain of decisions to be made. Which partners will mesh with your personality and overall theme of the day? Your wedding planner will be able to guide you through these choices and be able to offer insight that only comes from being an experienced professional.

Last Minute Maven
Low and behold, there will be something that pops up the day of your wedding that will require quick thinking to resolve. Your wedding planner is charged with handling these situations with ease so that you can enjoy every moment of your big day. While the venue coordinator and the vendors themselves are responsible for their designated elements, your wedding planner operates in the crossover space, making sure all the bases are covered. Did an unexpected guest show up last minute and now needs a seat? Did the flower girl basket get left at home? Your wedding planner will step in and solve these last-minute scenarios should they arise.

On Trend
Wall of donuts? Large balloon letters? Succulent garland or vases for the table décor? A professional wedding planner will be on top of the current trends and know what’s coming down the pike. They will also have the savvy to suggest creative ways to personalize your day, making the celebration uniquely "you," and wowing your guests.

Quaid Coxsey

Written by Quaid Coxsey

Quaid initially discovered his passion for wedding planning when he was asked by a friend to help plan her wedding. Through that experience, he found his niche and started his own company in nearby Culpeper, Virginia. While working together on a styled shoot, Quaid struck up partnerships with both Good Earth Flowers and Bella Giornata Events and Design, and quickly worked for and alongside both companies. During this time, Quaid became well versed in many aspects of special event planning and details from concept through execution. While working with both of these companies, Quaid booked a wedding at Airlie, and while he loved the venue, was unaware that it would change his career forever. Shortly after, he interviewed with Airlie, and with much excitement said yes to joining the catering sales team, of which he has been a member since 2016.
